I’ve run LearnGoldCoins.com for 9 months now. I started the website expecting to see just a little response to the website… so far I’ve been completely shocked. Thousands upon thousands of people have visited the site, thousands have subscribed to the newsletter, and hundreds of websites have linked to this blog.

So far, it’s on the first page of google for “gold”, “gold coins”, “gold ETF“, “gold stocks”, and “gold mutual funds.” The relatively quick success has been shocking and humbling. I’ve enjoyed every minute so far.

Because of all the demand, I just launched a new gold coins website specifically about gold coin reviews and selling gold coins — not just general gold commentary. It’s a brand new site, but within a few weeks it’ll be loaded with coin reviews, guides, and information about gold, gold coins, and the best places to buy gold coins online.

The website will also include silver coins, platinum coins, and a section on numismatic coins as well. I’ll let you know more about the website as it grows in size and content. Check it out!

Passive Income: Gold Stocks and Dividend Investing

The best income is a passive income — something I’ve talked about dozens of times in the past. Investing in gold should be done in light of the superiority of a passive income, just like all investing ought to be done. The only way to do this is through investing in gold mining stocks, or a gold mutual fund or ETF that indirectly invests in gold mining stocks.

This isn’t to say physical assets like gold bars and silver coins ought to not be purchased — they should be owned as well, just at a much smaller portion of the portfolio than dividend earning stocks/funds.

But don’t worry — from now on, my discussion of dividend investing is going to become scarcer, and for a good reason. Because the investing strategy of dividends is so important, I’ve launched an entire dividend investing website with the purpose of covering the topic in-depth. Hey everyone, I just finished reading through a new report by the guys over at Casey Research — the best investment research firm out there. I read all their stuff, and have had permission to repost a lot of their big articles again here at Learn Gold Coins.

How To Become A Gold And Silver Dealer

People find it exciting to buy gold coins as a hobby or investment and it can be just as exciting to sell them. Gold and silver dealer stores seem to be popping up all over the place due to the high value that these precious metals carry. Having a dealership can be lucrative, but only if the business owner has a large amount of collateral and inventory.

Interested parties should first consider whether they want to specialize in certain areas like only selling coins or jewelry. Some dealers specialize in this way, while others sell various silver and gold items as well as antiques and collectibles. Those who are undertaking this endeavor for the first time may wish to start with a narrow focus and then branch out.

The individual should visit local events that deal in gold and silver products, such as coin shows. The sellers may offer reduced pricing or special deals at these events. It is difficult to find wholesale prices on precious metal items, but some sellers may be willing to do this if the buyer purchases in bulk.

Becoming a U.S. Mint Authorized Purchaser is another recommended step because this will allow the individual to buy silver and gold coins directly from the Mint and then resell them. This is where the large amount of collateral comes in, because an individual is required to have a $50 million net worth and a proven history selling a high annual volume of gold coins. Building up inventory and cash reserves early will help accomplish this. The individual should set aside $5,000 to $10,000 cash for business start up costs and another $25,000 to $50,000 for inventory purchases.

Doing business as a gold and silver dealer allows consumers to buy gold coins, silver coins, jewelry, and other items made from these precious metals. Individuals should first decide what type of items they want to sell and then visit gold and silver shows to get some good deals. A dealership requires a large monetary investment to set up, but in this market, it can be quite a lucrative business because the price of gold is so high.
